CanYa Wag is run by high schoolers with a love for dogs and a passion for making a difference.
We create stylish, handcrafted dog collars that make a positive impact on people, animals, and the planet.
Each collar is handmade by Maasai women artisans in Kenya using ethically sourced, vegetable-tanned leather, glass beads, and recycled brass buckles. By reconnecting these artisans with the U.S. market after Etsy closed all its Kenya shops, we're helping preserve traditional craftsmanship while creating meaningful income.
Inspired by our own rescue dogs, we donate 100% of our profits to support dog rescues in Taiwan, Mexico, and California. Every purchase helps empower artisans, give rescue dogs a second chance, and protect the planet.

CanYa Wag
Sunny
Sunny started CanYa Wag because she loves dogs, fashion, and the planet and wanted to create a business that makes a real difference. She loves meeting dogs wherever she goes, and her rescue pup, Layla, inspired her to work with amazing women artisans in Kenya who handcraft each collar from eco-friendly materials. With her positive energy and enthusiasm, Sunny brings people together to help animals, support communities, and spread kindness one collar at a time.

Gabe
Gabe is a high school student with a passion for social entrepreneurship. He also enjoys running with his dog, Mochi, as well as baking sweet treats in his free time. He co-founded CanYa Wag with the hopes of saving dogs using renewable resources to do so.
